{"id":451,"date":"2020-09-06T19:16:04","date_gmt":"2020-09-06T19:16:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/131.215.207.17\/?p=451"},"modified":"2020-09-06T19:16:04","modified_gmt":"2020-09-06T19:16:04","slug":"show-floor-9","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/supercomputing.caltech.edu\/index.php\/2020\/09\/06\/show-floor-9\/","title":{"rendered":"Show Floor"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Network Connections<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year&#8217;s focus is on demonstrating 100GE SDN using dark fiber connections within the show floor among Caltech, Univ of Michigan, StarLight, Dell, Vanderbilt Univ, Stanford Univ and Echostreams.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">100GE WAN Connections:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2 x 100GE Ethernet connections&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>1 x 100GE Ethernet connection from StarLight Booth<br><br>DF Connections&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">7 x 100GE Dark Fiber connections<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Network InterConnect<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The OpenFlow SDN ring is composed of Dell Z9100 switches, providing 32 x 100GE ports with a total switching capacity of 6.4Tbps (full duplex). These switches support Openflow 1.0 and 1.3 agents and compliant with the latest version of OpenDaylight (ODL) Lithium controller.
